Guadeloupe: Jose Gaddarkhan rejects the ultimatum to resign from the Construction Federation

Leader José Gaddarkhan keeps his post at the local construction industry representation in Guadeloupe, formally rejecting an order to step down. According to RCI Guadeloupe, Frédéric Carré, head of the French Federation of Construction, had sent him a letter on October 15 demanding his resignation or withdrawal from actions related to the movement Nou Las Palé. This reaction follows his involvement in blockades at the Jarry commercial zone, according to information reported by Karibinfo.

A personal choice defended against national authority

According to RCI Guadeloupe, José Gaddarkhan responded with a statement asserting that his actions alongside Nou Las Palé are purely private initiatives. The official clarified that the local professional structure does not directly participate in these operations and has not been involved in his efforts. Regarding tensions surrounding blocked traffic arteries, he emphasized: "People need to sit down at a table."

Support from administrators and warning about the sector

According to RCI Guadeloupe, the president of the Guadeloupe entity received renewed backing from his board on October 16, formalized through a document signed by eight members. The business leader also justifies his position by citing worsening economic constraints on the island, including cash flow problems, job insecurity, and non-compliance with payment deadlines.

He recalled that he had unsuccessfully approached the Ministry of Overseas Departments and the national organization to obtain concrete responses. José Gaddarkhan now demands that the central body publicly take a stance and provide tangible measures in response to the recession faced by Antillean entrepreneurs.
