Jake Johnston, a Haiti specialist at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), revealed on Friday that the United States, Colombia and the Dominican Republic are providing logistical support for El Salvador's military intervention in Haiti. Johnston also says another cargo plane arrived from Haiti that day carrying Salvadoran troops, and that the flights carrying these soldiers do not appear on public flight-tracking platforms.

According to Johnston, US support has taken the form of C-130 aircraft to help move the troops. The Dominican Republic is said to have offered its help by allowing helicopters and military equipment to pass through its territory.

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele has said that El Salvador is covering about 90% of the cost of the operation, while stating that he has no intention of occupying territory. Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé said that flights carrying personnel were concealed on public tracking platforms.
