Objectives of the New Code
The Prime Minister emphasizes that this clear and predictable code can strengthen trust, support investment, and improve the business climate. The General Tax Directorate (DGI) will be responsible for its implementation, including in-depth training of its staff and modernization of its IT tools.
Reactions and Support
The Director General of the DGI, Chesnel FRANÇOIS, notes that the new Code must make the tax system more coherent, transparent, and equitable. The Minister of Economy and Finance, Serge Gabriel COLLIN, believes it creates a favorable framework for economic development and increased mobilization of resources for the State.
