Dumas congratulated the team for "the quality of work accomplished" and emphasized that this qualification marks an important step in the development of Haitian football. The minister, speaking on behalf of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, encourages the nation to remain united around this sporting success.
The Grenadiers previously won three matches: against Trinidad and Tobago (3-2), Costa Rica (2-0), and the Dominican Republic (4-1). These victories, combined with a positive goal difference (+4), allowed them to reach the quarter-finals for the first time.
