Paris Saint-Germain, now top of their Champions League group after three straight wins, travel to Villarreal on Tuesday night for a crucial match. PSG coach Luis Enrique has warned his players against overconfidence and stresses that Villarreal are a very solid side.

Statements from the coaches

Luis Enrique said at the press conference: "Villarreal are a very good team with an excellent coach. We will have to show from the first minutes that we are ready and that we have the ambition to win." The Spanish coach also said there would be no significant changes to the squad, stressing: "We want to perform all the time, no matter the players or the competition."

Player reactions

Georges Mikautadze, Villarreal's Georgian striker, lavished praise on his opponents, saying: it's the team everyone is watching. He also opened up about the difficulties faced by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Current state of the teams

Villarreal are going through a difficult spell, with an unimpressive league record and numerous injury problems. Coach Iñigo Pérez described PSG as a "steamroller of a team".
