Estéban Lepaul out for Strasbourg

Estéban Lepaul, the top scorer in Ligue 1 with seven goals this season, will not take part in the match against Strasbourg this Sunday. Stade Rennais manager Franck Haise confirmed in a press conference that the striker is unavailable.
Lepaul is suffering from a left ankle sprain sustained during the loss to Paris FC (4-3) last Sunday. He had already missed the return leg on the pitch against Juventus in the Europa League for the same reasons. The club is moving forward without a precise timeline for the return of the player, whose status remains uncertain.
Rennes faces Strasbourg this Sunday at 5:15 PM at Roazhon Park. The Alsatian side has experienced difficulties in defense this season, but the match promises to be tight despite the absence of Lepaul, who is out.
Statistics and context
Rennes has not lost any of its last eight home matches in the league. Strasbourg, for its part, has conceded at least one goal in each of the last fifteen matches of the season.
The Breton club remains attentive to developments in Lepaul's case and will have to manage without its key striker for the time being.
