Emmanuel Lucas wins the third edition of the CNJEE
On October 4, 2026, in Pétion-Ville, the closing ceremony for the third edition of the National Emerging Young Writers Contest (CNJEE) took place. Emmanuel Lucas was awarded first prize. Catherine Guevara Pierre and Sylvester Dorismond came in second and third place respectively.

The competition, centered on the theme "Flee to Survive," received 195 initial submissions. After evaluation by a jury, ten finalists were selected for the final round.
Theme and Rules of the Contest
Participants had to write a short story of five to ten pages on the theme "Flee to Survive." The required format was Times New Roman font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. Submissions were made in digital form in 8.5 x 11 format.
Selection and Final Round
Following the initial evaluation phase which received 195 texts, the jury selected the ten best works to participate in a final session. The finalists defended their writings before a panel of judges.
