Melchie Daëlle Dumornay scored two goals, including one from the penalty spot, in Olympique Lyonnais' victory over Marseille (5-0) on Saturday during the 6th round of Arkema First League. With nine goals this season, the Haitian international leads the scoring table for the French women's league. The information in this report comes from Haiti Tempo.

Two Goals in Five Minutes

Set up inside the penalty area by Chawinga, Dumornay opened her personal account with a low shot at the 26th minute. Five minutes later, at the 31st minute, she converted a penalty by catching goalkeeper Emily Burns off guard.

The other three Lyon goals were scored by Salma Paralluelo (4th minute) and Hegerberg (40th and 71st minutes).

A Perfect Start to the Season

These two goals are her 8th and 9th of the season in league play. Haiti Tempo notes that she had already shone a week earlier against Paris Saint-Germain, describing her as an important element in Lyon's offensive play.

The team has six wins in six matches since the start of the season and has scored 36 goals in league play.
