Dr Lorquet leads a walk between Switzerland and Haiti

During an initial discussion, François shared his migratory journey since the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. "I left Haiti really in 2010-2011 after the quake," he said.

The walk started from the Voltaire district, passing by Cornavin train station and reaching the shores of Lake Leman. François highlighted the importance of public transportation in Switzerland and how it facilitates a more relaxed life for older people.

Along their walk along the lake, Lorquet and François noted the harmonious coexistence between humans and animals in this urban environment. "The ducks, swans, and even dogs have very good relationships with humans here," observed François.

This visit aimed to explore how Geneva can offer lessons for Haiti in terms of urban planning and environmental management.
