Guadeloupe: MP warns of drop in overseas social housing funding

Christian Baptiste, a member of parliament for Guadeloupe and special rapporteur for the Overseas mission's budget, has warned against a reduction in funds allocated to social housing in the Overseas territories. This alert comes as the 2027 finance bill is being examined in the National Assembly.

The Jardin de Valombreuse, located in Petit-Bourg in Guadeloupe, is hosting a unique festival this year called Festival Signature, organized by the Fondation Signature with the support of the Ministry of Culture. This initiative will take place over two exceptional days.

Starting October 13, the National Assembly will examine the 2027 finance bill in a public session, against a backdrop of a constrained and difficult budgetary context for the Overseas territories.
