Daniel Riolo criticizes severely Marseille after its defeat against Besiktas
Daniel Riolo, a consultant for RMC Sport, strongly criticized Olympique de Marseille (OM) following their 1-4 defeat against Besiktas in the UEFA Europa League. "It's more than a loss, it’s a total shipwreck," he said. Riolo added that the situation is desperate and that he sees no positive aspect in the current play of the team.

Riolo also questioned the abilities of coach Bruno Genesio, equating him to a sad statistic dating back 62 years. He stated that he understands if Genesio decides to leave his position due to the current performances of OM.
Jean-Louis Leca, the sports director of OM, had to face a social media rant from Riolo. "What was said is disgusting," commented Leca in response to conspiracy theories regarding the appointment of Yannick Cahuzac as first coach at Lens.
