CSPJ certifies 119 judges, rejects 17 after reviewing 159 files
The Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) held an institutional retreat on September 7, 8, 9, and 10, 2026 to review certification files for judges. At the end of this session, the CSPJ certified 119 judges out of a total of 159 reviewed files. Seventeen candidates were rejected due to a lack of professional integrity and ethics.

Among the uncertified judges are Brenord Louicius, dean of the Court of First Instance in Fort-Liberté; Dieuveuil Boileau, deputy-commissioner before the Court of First Instance in Petit-Goâve for false qualifications; and several other substitute judges. The CSPJ also noted fourteen files requiring further investigation and two cases of job abandonment.
Seven judges were called to take their retirement rights during this session.
This action by the CSPJ aims to strengthen integrity, competence, and probity in Haiti's judicial system to ensure more credible and effective justice for litigants.
