Christian Emmanuel Sanon pleads not guilty in Miami

The trial of Christian Emmanuel Sanon, an evangelical pastor accused of participating in a plot against President Jovenel Moïse, opened on Monday before a federal court in Miami. According to Vant Bèf Info, Sanon entered a not guilty plea and his defense claims he was not involved in any plans to overthrow the Haitian president. Judge Jacqueline Becerra is overseeing the jury selection after rejecting an initial request to postpone the trial, which was originally scheduled for March 2023.
