Voting Process and New Board

According to Mayotte Hebdo, the vote took place at Bandrélé at the headquarters of the Communauté de communes du Sud. The leader of the Communauté de communes de Petite-Terre secured three out of five votes against Wirdani Djae, the president of the CCSud. He succeeds Ali Moussa Ben, who has led the group since its founding in April 2025.

The leadership team now includes Roukia Kassidi as first vice-president, Ambdilwahedou Soumaila as second vice-president, and Madi Ousseni Mohamadi as third vice-president, while Wirdani Djae becomes treasurer.

Mission and Composition of the Entity

According to the newspaper Mayotte Hebdo, this structure brings together all five intercommunalities in Mahorais, including the Communauté d'agglomération Dembeni-Mamoudzou, the Communauté d'agglomération du Grand Nord de Mayotte, the Communauté de communes du Centre-Ouest, the CCSud, and that of Petite-Terre. The organization aims to harmonize local interventions on issues such as transportation, housing, territorial planning, economic development, and waste management.
