Cabo Rojo welcomes 5,771 cruise passengers and extends its tourism expansion to the South

Cabo Rojo received 5,771 passengers from two ships, the Independence of the Seas and the Nieuw Amsterdam. The day marks the start of October operations at the Dominican south terminal, strengthening the tourist presence in Cabo Rojo.

The Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de Cabo Rojo (Cabo Rojo Coop) closed out Cooperative Month by awarding scholarships to 40 young people, totaling 8,000 dollars. The institution gave out 20 scholarships of 200 dollars to students and 10 more of 400 dollars to university students.

Visit to the Hogar San Andrés

Cabo Rojo Coop also visited the Hogar San Andrés, an institution in Mayagüez. The initiative is part of a month devoted to mutual aid and community well-being.
