Bruno Genesio questions RMC Sport

During the previous press briefing ahead of the match against the Austrian club, the Marseille coach corrected a journalist who had mentioned two recent losses for his team. "Two wins, two wins!" he asserted confidently.

Genesio did not let this mistake pass and joked by adding: "That's a revealing slip on your part. I know you take pleasure in Marseille’s defeats at RMC." However, he quickly clarified that he was joking.

A journalist from ICI Provence then made a welcome intervention by stating: "Here, we celebrate the OM’s victories."

Genesio also spoke about the young Antoine Valero, who was selected for the match against Sturm Graz. He explained that the decision to include Valero in the first team was based on his behavior and performance in the reserves.

Pre-match stakes

The Marseille coach believes that young players quickly meet the team's expectations, noting: "Seeing that the young players respond to our requests and expectations, perhaps even faster than we thought, is very good news."
