Saint Cyr believes that Michel Martelly's victory in recent primaries, where three candidates participated, demonstrates his ability to address current challenges in Haiti. He also highlights Mr. Martelly's political experience as an asset to strengthen security and ensure free movement across the national territory.

When asked about controversies surrounding Michel Martelly, including PetroCaribe and international sanctions, Saint Cyr reminded that these issues are within the jurisdiction of competent institutions. He asserts that a report remains a report and does not automatically imply a sanction from the United Nations Security Council.

Finally, the former minister considers that the will of the people is sovereign in choosing a president, despite statements by French and Spanish ambassadors who expressed their preference for an honorable candidate.
