For a new model of cooperation
According to the station Scoop FM, the Haitian leader advocated for a "paradigm shift" in international relations with his country. While acknowledging that emergency assistance has "fed, treated, protected" and helped save lives, he emphasized that a people cannot "remain indefinitely dependent on aid" and charity. According to the same media outlet, he believes that stability "is not maintained solely" by military force, but must be consolidated "through work, production" and economic progress. He therefore wishes to redirect crisis management resources toward creating sustainable jobs for women and young people.
American and British trade support
According to Scoop FM, the Prime Minister welcomed the decision by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump to maintain the HOPE/HELP Act until 2028. This program offers customs benefits for Haitian textile exports. Alix Didier Fils-Aimé also expressed his gratitude to the United Kingdom for its preferential trade program, the Developing Countries Trading Scheme, while inviting other partners to adopt similar measures.
