The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information in Jamaica has launched a pilot program aimed at paying fees to board directors in selected schools. This initiative was announced alongside details about the appointment of Hon. Lillian Swann-Misick OBE to the Pelican Energy TCI Board of Directors.

According to Newsline TCI, Hon. Lillian Swann-Misick, a native of Grand Turk, brings extensive experience in education and public service to her new role with Pelican Energy TCI. Her appointment underscores the company’s commitment to local representation and long-term development within the Turks and Caicos Islands’ energy sector.

The pilot program for school board directors is being implemented by both the Ministry of Education in Jamaica and the National Council on Education, as reported by JIS (gouvernement jamaïcain).
