For the goalkeeper position, Mike Maignan will retain his status as number one. Fabien Barthez, the goalkeepers' coach, wants change for the other spots. Robin Risser could return to the national team while Brice Samba would be the main victim, according to Foot Mercato.
In central defense, Zidane will maintain several regulars like Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konaté. William Saliba, who is injured in the back, will not be called up while a young prospect, Jérémy Jacquet (21 years old), could get his chance.
In midfield, Lucas Da Cunha is mentioned as a new recruit while N'Golo Kanté is not in contention. In attack, Esteban Lepaul, whose profile has been studied by the technical team in recent days, could make his entry.
