According to information provided by the Seismic Surveillance Network, no loss of life or property damage has been reported. However, the tremor caused a panic reaction among the local population.

The director general of the Mines and Energy Bureau (BME), Claude Prépetit, indicated that a single aftershock was recorded Friday morning at 7 am. Mr. Prépetit also noted that these two tremors had no connection to the powerful earthquake that struck Panama the previous day.
