Luis Enrique credits his success to the PSG

Luis Enrique, coach of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), revealed in an interview with PSG TV that he feels a strong pressure to prove that his contract extension until June 2030 is justified. "I extended my contract and now I have even more pressure to show that I am ready to continue and that I want to win many more trophies with Paris Saint-Germain," he said.

Despite the club's successes, the Spanish coach refuses to be content. "I am not calmer or more at ease simply because people tell me they are very happy," added Enrique, emphasizing the importance of continuing to progress.

Enrique highlights his philosophy of encouraging teamwork over mere player obedience. "I do not want to be a coach who constantly gives orders and tells players: 'You must do this, that, and the other.' They need to understand the game to make the best decision at every moment," he explained.

The Spanish technician will travel to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening to face Manchester City in the Champions League.

Coaching Philosophy

Luis Enrique emphasizes player autonomy and understanding of the game rather than direct orders. He also stresses mutual respect between him and the fans.
