Lens relies on Thauvin after defeat against ESTAC

Changes Over the Last Year

One year ago, the club was buzzing around the duels between Thauvin and Morgan Guilavogui in an atmosphere of conquest and confidence under the direction of Pierre Sage.

Today, Lens must face greater challenges. The squad remains of high quality but the team now manages recurring injuries (Todibo, Aguilar, Ganiou) and a coaching change with Yannick Cahuzac replacing Dino Toppmöller.

Dependence on Thauvin

Florian Thauvin, now in his thirties, remains an indispensable pillar. He optimizes his recovery to maintain his playing level and help the team manage injuries before European competitions.

The club also needs to handle the transfer market with caution: Odsonne Édouard is being courted by Rennes or England, but remains at the club despite uncertainties about his future.
