Poverty now affects nearly one person out of three in Argentina
Poverty in Argentina has reached a worrying level, with 30% of the population living in poverty according to President Javier Milei. This increase is explained by a significant rise in inflation at the beginning of this year.

Since his arrival at the presidency in January 2024, the downward trend observed after an historic peak of 52.9% reached under Javier Milei has been halted. This uptick comes as the country faces important economic challenges.
