Nico Paz, 18, currently playing for FC Como where he wears the number 18, is considered a potential heir to Messi. The player is generating a lot of excitement in Argentina for the post-Messi era, especially after his notable performance in recent friendly matches.

Emiliano Martínez, the Argentine goalkeeper, even suggested on Instagram that Paz could one day wear the famous number 10. The latter will be worn by Messi for the last time with the national team against Benin on October 7.

The Nico Paz era is therefore beginning with a great deal of hope and confidence within the Argentine team, as Lionel Messi prepares for his gradual retirement from the pitch.
