Haiti bans the transit of goods through the Dominican Republic

The Haitian Ministry of Economy and Finance published a circular dated September 30, 2026, banning the transit through the Dominican Republic of goods from third countries destined for the Haitian market. According to Minister Serge Gabriel Collin of the Economy and Finance, the goods must be transported directly to Haiti's maritime ports or international airports for customs inspection.
