Haiti ranks 159th globally for its passport

The ranking of the Haitian passport is less favorable: it stands at 159th globally with a mobility score of 59, corresponding to visa-free access for twelve destinations and simplified procedures or facilitated arrival in forty-one additional countries.

The report classifies Haiti as requiring visas for 139 destinations. The three favorable components for the Haitian passport's mobility total fifty-nine retained accesses in the score, including twelve without visa and forty-seven others with simplified procedures.

Among the 12 visa-free destinations for Haiti are notably Angola (30 days), Benin (90 days), and Hong Kong (China's special administrative region, 14 days). Malaysia and Singapore require an arrival card with a maximum duration of thirty days.

Regional Indicators

Africa shows the largest overall coverage at 55.6% for Haiti. Asia reaches 40%. On the other hand, Oceania has a coverage of 35.7%, and the Middle East 23.5%. The Caribbean has an overall access rate of 13.3%.

Visa Reciprocity

The report shows that visa conditions to enter Haiti concern foreign passports traveling to the country. For example, the United States and France have visa-free access to Haiti while they require a visa for Haitian passports.
