The OM will travel to the Sturm Graz stadium on Thursday to face the Austrian team at 18:45, as part of the third round of the Europa League. The French coach also confirmed the first call-up of Antoine Valero, a promising young striker.
The match will be marked by police exercises due to the high risk of clashes between Austrian and French supporters, as well as recent incidents during the local derby in Graz. Twenty extras were mobilized to simulate different scenarios with the local police.
Security Risks
The match is considered high-risk by Austrian authorities due to tensions among supporters and a recent incident during the local derby. Police exercises were therefore carried out on Wednesday at the stadium to prepare for security.
