"If Soumaré is a starter at Stade Rennais, that's worrying," Haise said about the player's performance early in the match. According to Walid Acherchour, a consultant for RMC Sport, "Rennes takes the points, but in terms of content, I haven't been convinced since the start of the season."

Haise replaced Soumaré with Ludovic Blas in the 77th minute of the game. This decision highlights ongoing doubts about Soumaré's quick adaptation to the club after his summer transfer.

After a disappointing first half, Haise lost his temper criticizing the lack of intensity and defensive errors. "It's been a while since I last got so worked up like that," he admitted.

The coach's message had an effect in the second half, where Rennes showed significant improvement and scored three more goals. Boulaye Dia confirmed that the team responded to the criticism: "We were given a talking-to."

Soumaré will need to quickly prove his worth to keep his starting position, facing increased competition.
