Camavinga, who was left out for the 2026 World Cup after difficulties at Real Madrid, has returned strongly under Zidane. He demonstrated great technical skills and an important sense of the game during the match against Belgium, with his performance noted by L'Équipe as being "reassuring" for the coach.
According to RMC Sport, Diallo emphasizes that the enthusiasm around Zidane is understandable because he is an icon. Camavinga acknowledged that he needs to work on consistency and concentration to definitively earn a place in the starting lineup.
Technical Analysis
Andrés Onrubia, journalist at AS, notes that Camavinga's mistakes are often visible but also highlights his technical abilities. Zidane gave the player a lot of freedom during the match against Belgium, using him as a connector between midfield and forwards.
Current Context
Camavinga remains behind several important players at Madrid and has not yet reached his full potential under Mourinho. His call-up by Zidane is therefore particularly significant, showing that the French coach sees him as an important player for the team.
