Anguilla records a visitor high in the first half of 2026

Tourism Minister Cardigan Connor highlighted that this growth positively impacts the local economy, benefiting hotels, restaurants, transport providers, and retailers. "The increase in visitor numbers is significant for our communities," he added.

Anguilla continues to attract a majority of American tourists: 60,415 during the semester, accounting for 73.8% of arrivals. In June, this rate rose to 79%. Day-trippers also increased, with 15,771 visitors in June compared to 9,194 the previous year.

During Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas, Anguilla was ranked first in the Caribbean and third globally for festive travel. Anguilla's West End also distinguished itself by ranking eighth among the world’s favorite festive destinations.

Jameel Rochester, director of tourism for the island, praised this recognition which underscores the unique and responsible nature of Anguilla’s tourism development. "This victory reaffirms our commitment to sustainable tourism," he stated.
